Mrs. Remona Rose Spikes a native of Washington Parish and resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana departed this life on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the age of 60 at the LSU Bogalusa Medical Center - Boalusa, LA.
Remona was a faithful member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she served in The Missionary Society. She was also a 1970 Graduate of Bogalusa High School. Formally Associate Matron of Rose of Sharon #152 Order of Eastern Star of Bogalusa, LA; Remona now hails from Rose of Sharon #22 - Albany, LA. She is also a member of Eva #6 Queen of the South Palace, Queen Mary #19 Amaranth Court, Artina #3 Heroines of Jericho Court, Avis #72 Ladies of Knight Templar, Swanigan #14 Daughters of Sphinx Court, and Phebe College #13 Rose of 7 Seals; all of Albany, LA. Remona is a very diligent, dedicated, active member and holds offices in each house. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Mr. Johnny Ree Spikes of Bogalusa, LA; her son, Anthony (Tanya) Williams of Columbus, GA; her brother, Jimmy Lee Brown of Bogalusa, LA; nine step-children, Byron (Lenelva) Tyner of Bogalusa, LA, Shantell (Billie)Rhemes of Ponchatoula, LA, James Harry of Houston, TX, Nikita Harry of Pnchatoula, LA, Charmarl (Trennice) Harry of Bogalusa, LA, Latoya Mingo of Livingston, TX, Kishina Harry of Bogalusa, LA, Renekia Ramsey of Livingston, TX, Komiya (De'Guerin)Johnson of Livingston, TX; twenty nine grandchildre, four step great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Freddie Mae Brown, her father, Mr. Otto Brown and her brother, Donnie Ray "Private Eye" Brown. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at Crain and Sons Funral Home Chapel in Bogalusa, LA. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul A.M.E. Church 420 Church Street - Bogausa, LA with Elder R.L. Palmer, Pastor Officiating.
