Major Warren was born on September 28, 1928 to Alfred Warren and Dora Burton Warren in Washington Parish, Louisiana.
He departed this life peacefully at home on October 17, 2012. Major was baptized at Hayes Creek Baptist Church and remained a member until his death.
He was employed as a truck driver by the Washington Co-op for many years. He also hauled wood for various small businesses. Major was preceded in death by four children, Shirley, Debra, Annabelle and Lee Vern Warren.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his loving wife, Anna Lee Warren of 62 years; sons, Johnny Ray (Linda), Bobby (Marilyn), Henry Earl (Daisy), Darrett (Geneva), and Robert (Betty); daughter, Patricia Wilson (John); one brother, Tom Warren of Franklinton, LA; two sisters, Smiley Davis of Hackley, LA and Carnell Tate of Clifton, LA; goddaughter, Denise Bickham; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Warren and Ora Dee Warren; one brother-in-law, Winzlo Tate; sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Dora Warren; one son, Lee Warren; three daughters, Debra Warren, Shirley Ann Warren and Annie Bell Warren; two brothers, James Warren and Alfred Warren, Jr.; seven sisters, Ruth Warren, Ruthie Mae Andderson, Hynetha Graves, Ada Burton, Kizzie Cotton, Ira Bella Dillon, Annie Mae Williams, and Marjorie Conerly.
Visitation will be at Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Greater Hayes Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Jerome Warren - Pastor Officiating. Internment will be held at Greater Hayes Cemetery.
