Eleanor Ann Manning, age 60, was called by God to her eternal home on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Ann, as she was known by her friends and loved ones, was born to the late Mr. L.M. and Mrs. Louise Chappell in Franklinton, LA. She became a member at Sweet Rest Baptist Church early in life and was an active member until her health began to fail. She was once the president of the senior choir and a Sunday School member. She was a graduate of Franklinton High School. She attended Allah Mae Johnson's Beauty School in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked with the local Home Health Service.
Ann leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Toshiba (Will) Brumfield of Franklinton, LA; two sons, Larry Manning, II and Cedric Manning both of Franklinton, LA; a special sister-in-law, Wendy Manning of Franklinton, LA; mother-in-law, Bessie Manning and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Manning and parents, L.M. and Louise Chappell; as well as her father-in-law, Rev. Dr. A.J. Manning.
The visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2012 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, LA from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
The funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
The interment will be at Sweet Rest Cemetery.
