The future is fairer than the past if only we believe, trust in God's eternal care, so when the Master calls, let us say that life is truly fair, although the curtain falls. I want to say that I cared very deeply about you. "Miss me, but let me go."
On the morning of April 12, 2012 God's angels came and claimed Bro. Olice Williams at Tangi Pines Nursing Center in Amite, LA, taking him by his hands, releasing him from all pain and suffering.
Bro. Olice Williams was born April 6, 1930 to the late Eddie A. Williams and Celia B. Williams. He was the second born of six children. He completed his early education at Folsom Rosenwald School in Folsom, LA. Bro. Olice was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He received an Honorable Discharge. Bro. Olice was a skilled carpenter and loved to fish. He accepted Christ at an early age at Oak Grove Baptist Church under Rev. A. Alexander. He later joined St. Peters Catholic Church in Covington, LA. During, his later years, he united with Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church.
He married Muriel Badon and to this union one child was born, Terri. Later, he united in marriage to Marjorie Fabre.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Terri Williams of Covington, LA; two grandsons, Kyle and Devin; three stepchildren and several step grandchildren, ; four sisters, Hazel Jenkins (Leroy), Delores W. Plummer both of Baton Rouge, LA, Lois Helen Cyprian (Dr. Joseph) of Folsom, LA, Greta Williams of Covington, LA; two aunts, Ruby Conerly (Edward) of Covington, LA and Claudia Amacker (William) of New Orleans, LA; two great aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, mother, father and two brothers, Bobbie and Floyd, brother-in-law, Gus Plummer, Sr. and nephew Libby Williams, III.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church in Folsom, LA; with Rev. Vons Henry, Pastor Officiating. Internment will be held at Folsom Community Cemetery.
