Superintendent Earl Buckley passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Alberta Buckley of Mt. Hermon, LA; four sons, Harvey Buckley of New Orleans, LA, Raymond Buckley of Mississippi, Christopher Buckley and Raphael Buckley both of Mt. Hermon, LA, one grandson whom he raised as a son, Alahundro Buckley of Picayune, MS; eight daughters, Helen McNeal of Bogalusa, LA, Elaine Cooper of Farfield, California, Earline Buckley of New Orleans, LA, Helen (Hosea) Gradney of Baton Rouge, LA, Vernedia Buckley of Mt. Hermon, LA, Omecia Calahan of Greensburg, LA, Rosa Bridges of Bogalusa, LA and Queen Buckley of New Orleans, LA; three brothers, James Dillon of Lexis, MS, Joe Dillon of Alabama, Larry Buckley of Texas; two sisters, Maytee Buckley and Dorothy Dominque both of Baton Rouge, LA; twenty five grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren.
Wake service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Buckley’s Temple Church of God In Christ 15807 Hwy 441 North Kentwood, LA 70444; Officiating – Minister Clifton Dawson and Pastor Colie Dillon, Jr.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 with a viewing from 9:00 am followed by funeral beginning at 12:00 PM at Faith Temple Ministries Church of God In Christ 11695 Fontand Lane Independence, LA; Officiating – Executive Board of Jurisdiction One and Eulogist – Supt. Alphonso Denson.
